  • Get your party poppers ready as Facebook celebrates its 8th birthday this Saturday. The site is expected to commemorate it’s anniversary with the filing of an initial public offering, which could value the company at around $100 billion. The research identifies the top 20 most active countries, with South Africa topping the chart.

Across the pond in the USA, MR Youth have been busy analysing the effect that social media had on holiday season sales. Interesting conclusions were drawn for brands with a social media presence, as brand’s interactions in that period led consumers to make a holiday gift purchase 80% of the time.
