So Social Media Week is in full swing, and it’s kicked off splendidly. Here at Lexis we’ve already been to 8 different sessions, all of which have helped us learn something or reinforced and supported what we all already knew.

Personally, I’ve found it really useful to hear about other’s experience with social media campaigns – the case study from #SMWSexySocial on Royal Mail’s #stampwars in particular really stood out for me. They took a potentially very dry subject matter, with a niche audience, but made it relevant and interesting to others. Creating ways to engage is crucial, and for me, they nailed it.

The best sessions are those that are interactive – none of us want to just sit there and listen to someone drone on. This is SOCIAL media after all – it’s all about conversations. And it’s great that #SMWLondon is enabling us to have these conversations both on and offline.  Can we have a #SMWLondon every month please?
